"I was highly diabetic, and also I felt very bad seeing myself so overweight and in not a good shape. I had tried yoga. I had tried boot camp. I had been with the nutritionist. "When I first got into menopause, I could hardly walk. When I got up in the morning, I could hardly raise my arm to switch off the air conditioner because of all the joint pains.   1. Is strength training safe for women in their 40s and 50s?

    Yes. Resistance training is one of the most evidence-supported interventions for bone density, lean mass and metabolic health in midlife women. Programming is individualised by the coach to current strength, joint history and any medical context the client raises.

  2. Will lifting weights make me bulky?

    No. The body composition women see from structured strength training is leaner, denser and stronger — not bulky. Bulk requires a calorie surplus and years of dedicated programming most women in their 40s and 50s are not pursuing.

  3. I'm perimenopausal — does the programme adjust for that?

    Yes. Programming can adapt to sleep variability, joint sensitivity, energy fluctuations and recovery patterns common in perimenopause. The coach also coordinates with any clinician guiding hormonal or medical care.

  4. What if I haven't trained in 15 years?

    You start where you are. The first sessions establish movement quality, joint range and baseline strength. Volume and load progress at a pace your recovery can absorb — not a fixed template.

  5. How does the coach come to my home?

    PTD delivers 1-on-1 sessions in your home, building gym, hotel gym or office across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The coach brings programming, accountability and any compact equipment the session requires.

  6. Can I train if I have a back, knee or shoulder issue?

    Most cases — yes — with programming adjusted around the issue and in coordination with your physiotherapist or physician. The coach is not a clinician; medical clearance for movement is your doctor's call.

  7. How long until I see changes?

    Energy and sleep often shift in the first three to four weeks. Strength markers move by week six. Visible body composition changes typically read clearly by week eight to twelve, depending on adherence and starting point.

  8. Do you offer female coaches?

    Yes. PTD has female coaches across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. If you prefer a female coach, request it on your consultation call and you'll be matched accordingly.

  9. What if my coach isn't a good fit?

    Tell the coordinator. PTD reassigns to a different coach at no cost. The same 12-week programme continues; only the relationship changes.
